If… Houdini had hired Lovecraft as his stage designer as well as his ghost-writer…
Do you think Lovecraft may be referring to Lyonesse or Ys? Or is the geography off?
Yes, I wondered that, but couldn’t be bothered to Google how to spell Lyonesse 🙂 He might have taken it in that direction, but would probably only have hinted at it, and used it as background.
