Where The Wild Boys Are has an interesting new essay comparing the predjudiced responses to New York made by Henry James and Lovecraft.
Hi – that *is* interesting, but looking at some of the other posts, and the links on the right hand side, I wonder where that argument is going, exactly… while the different reactions to HPL’s and HJ’s racism tell us quite a bit about who how canons get made, the author seems more interested in, and excited by, all that anti-semitism. Don’t you think?
I didn’t notice the weird Aryan ultra-right stuff going on in the lower sidebar. Still, it’s still an interesting article. He’ll grow out of the crackpot-ery, I hope.
