I’m pleased to say I now have the amazing Minimax H3 video generation working locally on a humble 3060 12Gb graphics card, and at its default 1376 x 768px widescreen resolution. It’s amazing how far we’ve come, from the days of gloopy Stable Diffusion images at 512px. It’s been quite a ride.

Here’s a 0.9 resolution 7-second clip, generated in 12 minutes, which seems the sweet-spot for quality / time…

 

It doesn’t quite know how Lovecraft should look, ‘out of the box’ and without visual prompting (as here), but it’s somewhat close. This ‘text-prompt to video’ model has a twin which can accept visual reference images, but I’ve yet to download that additional model.
