del Toro’s At The Mountains of Madness is off the table, or so reports The New Yorker. The studio demanded the movie be made suitable for 13 year olds, del Toro refused.
It strikes me – surely they could have cut a censored and an uncensored version. How difficult would that have been?
Kind of ironic really, since Lovecraft was writing for the pulps – which on the news-stands appealed to exactly that age group…
