They say that…
“Judging will be based solely on the quality, realism and artistic merit of the entries, not on the application used to create them.”
Although that’s not quite true. Since you have to use at least one E-on product (such as Vue or their Lumen real-time architectural software), if only in part, to make your picture.
Deadline: 16th December 2012.
Another Space Art competition, this time for those age 10 to 18. The 2nd Humans in Space Youth Art Competition is backed by NASA and asks young creatives to…
“submit a visual, literary, musical and video artwork expressing your vision of how humans will use science and technology in the future to explore space and uncover its mysteries.”

Swiss precision watch-maker Fortis is running a Fortis Space Art Contest for their 100th anniversary.
“The winner will accompany a crew of scientists onboard of a zero-g airplane and assist them with their experiments in weightlessness. Participants over age 18, from all over the planet, can take part in the contest.”
Simply submit your own space art creative artworks (pictures, graphic works, videos) which have a strong “Space” theme. Winner announced 31st March 2013.

Renderosity’s Halloween Contest has its 2012 theme: Unhappily Ever After. The actual competition details will be available on 12th September 2012.

“They often say that love happens the moment you lay eyes on that special someone for the very first time. It’s as if the stars were perfectly aligned and the two of you were destined to meet in order to share eternity with one another. But what if your soulmate was really not the person they seemed to be? That after the vows were exchanged and the last bit of cake had been eaten you soon discovered a haunting reality too frightening to even imagine. This is your opportunity to let your creative juices run wild and interpret what the complete opposite of wedded bliss might be.”
Entry deadline: 16th October 2012.
