{"id":63347,"date":"2024-03-02T03:46:11","date_gmt":"2024-03-02T03:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/?p=63347"},"modified":"2024-03-01T21:46:59","modified_gmt":"2024-03-01T21:46:59","slug":"under-the-hammer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/index.php\/2024\/03\/02\/under-the-hammer\/","title":{"rendered":"Under the hammer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Heritage Auctions is hosting an auction consignment from fantasy author Neil Gaiman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barrons.com\/articles\/page-from-watchmen-comic-could-reach-300-000-in-first-auction-from-author-neil-gaimans-personal-collection-15398f9d\">on 14th March 2024<\/a>, which includes <em>Sandman<\/em> artwork, <em>Watchman<\/em> artwork, and a Moebius original.<\/p>\n<p>The sale will benefit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heroinitiative.org\/\">The Hero Initiative<\/a> which supports veteran comic-creators in need, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/authorsleaguefund.org\/\">Authors League Fund<\/a> which helps impoverished&#8230; &#8220;professional authors, journalists, critics, poets and dramatists&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>I hadn&#8217;t known about these two before, and they sound very worthy.
