Made by taking the Meshbox 3D Lovecraft poseable figure (<a href=\"https:\/\/mirye.net\/mirye-store\/product\/h-p-lovecraft\">purchase<\/a> | free <a href=\"https:\/\/sharecg.com\/v\/92790\/gallery\/11\/Poser\/24-Expressions-for-Lovecraft-3D\">face expression presets<\/a>) for <a href=\"https:\/\/graphixly.com\/products\/poser-pro\">the Poser software<\/a>, improving the skin a bit by tinkering with materials, and then doing a quick simple render in Poser with a 50mm virtual camera (a 50mm lens is best for portraits). <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/hpl350px.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/hpl350px.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-62536\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then I used this quickie render from Poser in a ControlNet (simple &#8216;canny&#8217; and &#8216;depth&#8217;) for AI image generation. Which in InvokeAI 3.0 and Stable Diffusion 1.5 produced a photoreal mugshot&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/hpl-sd-2023.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/hpl-sd-2023.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"528\" height=\"528\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-62537\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/hpl-sd-2023.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/hpl-sd-2023-528x528.jpg 528w, https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/hpl-sd-2023-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then slight Photoshopping to fix the hair (little duck-tail quiff: &#8216;AI say no&#8217;), desaturate the skin a little, and vignette. And&#8230; the proof-of-concept portrait was done. It&#8217;s a bit &#8216;waxworks figure from del Toro&#8217;s basement&#8217; if you look at it for too long. Fish-eyes too (he&#8217;s going to Innsmouth soon).
