He has news of several Lovecraftian items from the last year or so, such as the Mythos anthologies which (though not covered by <em>Tentaclii<\/em>) are continuing to thump down onto doormats.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically <em>Weird Tails<\/em>&#8230; &#8220;Mythos fiction inspired by both H.P. Lovecraft and horror fiction\u2019s ongoing fascination with all things feline.&#8221; And another devoted to Nyarlathotep tales, <em>N: A Stygian Fox Anthology Concerning the Outer God Nyarlathotep<\/em>. Glancing at both, I&#8217;m reminded that such anthologies could usefully offer aspiring artists \/ designers a chance at making a decent cover and thus add to their appeal. Or even retired artists such as the superb and still-prolific Bob May.<\/p>\n<p><em>Weird Tails<\/em> also has &#8220;LOVECRAFT AND CATS&#8221; in the TOCs, toward the end, which I&#8217;m guessing may perhaps be an essay rather than a story?<\/p>\n<p>Houlihan appears to be involved with the new <em>Achtung! Cthulhu<\/em> 2d20 RPG, which he discusses at length in a recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.john-houlihan.net\/innsmouth-book-club\/\">Innsmouth Book Club podcast<\/a>&#8230; <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>a chat which encompasses books, <em>Achtung! Cthulhu<\/em>, computer games, the revenge of the nerds and the inexorable rise of interest in HPL and the Mythos.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Elsewhere, news of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artstation.com\/artwork\/g2AqJG\">Chroniques Oubliees: Cthulhu<\/a><\/em>, a French Lovecraftian 1920s tabletop RPG of 2018&mdash;. Seemingly not a translation of an English RPG. It had super-slick character art by Aurore Folny, some of which is now newly online at ArtStation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/fr1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/fr1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"299\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49954\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/aurore-folny-coc-professeur-johan-kerenski.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/aurore-folny-coc-professeur-johan-kerenski.jpg?w=529\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"748\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-49953\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I stumbled on the blog of John Houlihan.
