{"id":49765,"date":"2021-09-15T05:47:10","date_gmt":"2021-09-15T02:47:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tentaclii.wordpress.com\/?p=49765"},"modified":"2021-09-15T05:47:10","modified_gmt":"2021-09-15T02:47:10","slug":"bilals-le-bol-maudit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/index.php\/2021\/09\/15\/bilals-le-bol-maudit\/","title":{"rendered":"Bilal&#8217;s Le Bol Maudit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Deep Cuts<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/deepcuts.blog\/2021\/09\/11\/le-bol-maudit-1982-by-enki-bilal\/\">takes a look<\/a> at Enki Bilal&#8217;s first collection of mostly Lovecraft-inspired short comic strip stories, published in the magazine <em>Pilote<\/em> between 1971 and 1974. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/sampleframe.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/sampleframe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"785\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-49792\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Below I take an additional look at the various covers. First published as one volume in French as a five-story BD by Minoustchine in 1975&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/cover-bilal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/cover-bilal.jpg?w=529\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"711\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-49767\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Deep Cuts<\/em> unearths a partial 1982 English U.S. translation by Flying Buffalo, publisher of the early RPG gaming magazine <em>Sorcerer&#8217;s Apprentice<\/em>.
