These two are early 1914 views made by the Providence artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/index.php\/2019\/05\/16\/the-providence-art-of-whitman-bailey-1884-1954\/\">Whitman Bailey (1884-1954)<\/a>. Lovecraft then aged in his early 20s. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/night-view-providence-prospect-hpl.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/night-view-providence-prospect-hpl.jpg?w=529\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"696\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-43128\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/night-view-providence-bridge-hpl.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/night-view-providence-bridge-hpl.jpg?w=529\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"338\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-43127\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Prospect Terrace was, of course, one of Lovecraft&#8217;s favourite places in his city.
