Wollheim Vol. 1, No. 1 magazine from 1936, with Lovecraft on the cover though without a cover illustration.  Presumably Lovecraft had a copies of <em>Fanciful Tales<\/em> in the mail, as he was still alive at the Autumn\/Fall of 1936. This scan is from the facsimile published by Necronomicon Press in 1977.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/fanciful-tales.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/fanciful-tales.jpg?w=529\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"808\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-34916\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The issue is <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/Fanciful_Tails_of_Time_And_Space_v01n01_Fall_1936\/mode\/2up\">on Archive.org in full<\/a>, albeit with a unsatisfactory and blurry scan, or perhaps it was hastily made by a hand-held digital camera with macro&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/city.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/city.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"482\" height=\"747\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-34918\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Also, <em>Wormwoodiana<\/em> brings news of <a href=\"http:\/\/wormwoodiana.blogspot.com\/2020\/02\/a-new-issue-of-biblio-curiosa.html\">a new issue of <em>Biblio-Curiosa<\/em><\/a>, dedicated to articles on &#8220;unusual writers&#8221; and &#8220;strange books&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a crisp look at a Donald A.
