The mainstream media seem to be doing a very poor job of covering the matter this year, but I had a post back in the summer that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/index.php\/2019\/06\/15\/who-is-entering-the-public-domain-in-2020\/\">looked into it in depth<\/a> for the USA and elsewhere.  As for Lovecraft&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>for Lovecraft, 1924 brought publication of [&#8230;] the notorious Eddy necrophilia collaboration \u201cThe Loved Dead\u201d; and the ghost-written Houdini tale \u201cImprisoned with the Pharaohs\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This raises the question of if the Eddy estate can any longer prevent \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hplovecraft.com\/writings\/texts\/fiction\/ld.aspx\">The Loved Dead<\/a>\u201d (<em>Weird Tales<\/em>, May\/July 1924) from appearing in U.S. collections of Lovecraft&#8217;s ghost-writing collaborations.  <\/p>\n<p>I also imagine the tale would, with a few additions and some tweaking, provide someone with an over-the-top comics adaptation in 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wondering what&#8217;s in the public domain from 1924?
