Joshi&#8217;s blog has updated with an illustrated report on <a href=\"http:\/\/stjoshi.org\/news.html\">&#8220;A Trip to France&#8221;<\/a>, made to promote the French translation of his monumental Lovecraft biography.  Among much else, he ventured down into the Catacombs of old Paris&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Traversing this site was a suitably grisly experience for a devotee of the weird and macabre.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Suitably primed, he later discovered the young artist <a href=\"https:\/\/laurentgapaillard.blogspot.com\/\">Laurent Gapaillard<\/a>, who does epic architectural prints in the Piranesi and Prout style, and from my cursory searches seems to be known in France for his book illustration and concept art for videogames.<\/p>\n<p>The French &#8216;Lovecraft &amp; Sonia&#8217; play <em>Howard, Mon Amour<\/em> is being translated to English, and Joshi hopes to find a publisher for it.<\/p>\n<p>Also, Joshi has had a copy of his <em>The H. P. Lovecraft Cat Book<\/em> in print. The hardcover first edition <a href=\"https:\/\/necropress.com\/the-h-p-lovecraft-cat-book\/\">has sold out already<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>S.T.
