The second half of this is an excellent and clear examination of the recent \u00a320 <em><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2HIVW5L\">Call of Cthulhu Starter Set<\/a><\/em> from Chaosium, with the box and the basics of the game explained for utter clueless newbies by a solo presenter who&#8217;s an experienced keeper (game master).  He also makes some useful basic distinctions which clearly explain why <em>Call of Cthulhu<\/em> is different from the bulk of heroic fantasy RPGs.<\/p>\n<p>Those delving into the game, and perhaps short of cash after forking out \u00a320 for the Set, will also want to know that there&#8217;s a free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chaosium.com\/content\/FreePDFs\/CoC\/CHA23131%20Call%20of%20Cthulhu%207th%20Edition%20Quick-Start%20Rules.pdf\">Quickstart Rules PDF<\/a> on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chaosium.com\/call-of-cthulhu-7th-edition-quick-start-rules\/\">the Chaosium site<\/a>.  I had repeated problems getting this to download, and couldn&#8217;t get it to complete the download even with a VPN.
