What better time for a comprehensive survey of the tentacular aspects of the popular game <em>Magic the Gathering<\/em>.  It&#8217;s newly published in the <em>Journal of Geek Studies<\/em> as <a href=\"https:\/\/jgeekstudies.org\/2018\/12\/09\/cephalopods-of-the-multiverse\/\">&#8220;Cephalopods of the Multiverse&#8221;<\/a> by Mark A. Carnall, curator at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/deep.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/deep.jpg?w=529\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"240\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-21039\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On <em>Aquaman<\/em>, I&#8217;ve not seen it yet but it apparently throws DC&#8217;s usual preachy &#8216;grimness and angst&#8217; overboard, in favour of a well-made fun adventure with epic CG sets and lively CG sea-monsters with Lovecraftian tendencies.  And let&#8217;s face it, that&#8217;s really all we want from most superhero movies.
