It seems like a useful addition for those reading Joshi&#8217;s <em>Decline of the West<\/em>, the key book on Lovecraft&#8217;s politics and philosophy, and who might be left wanting an overview of what Lovecraft could have taken from his idol Poe &mdash; beyond the obvious inheritance of the fictional style\/settings and the aesthetic repertoire.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/ea-poe-room-virginia-university.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/oldimages\/ea-poe-room-virginia-university.jpg?w=529\" alt=\"\" width=\"529\" height=\"397\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-20556\" \/><\/a>Poe&#8217;s room at the University of Virginia.
