Howard, and the writers of the Lovecraft Circle, to the masses.<\/p>\n<p>* Arkham publishes its two-volume <em>Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos<\/em>, the first multi-author Mythos anthology book.<\/p>\n<p>* French literary journal <em>Le Cahier de l&#8217;Herne<\/em> famously devotes its entire issue to Lovecraft.<\/p>\n<p><strong>80 Years (1939):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Arkham House founded in 1939, and the first title published &mdash; <em>The Outsider and Others<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>100 years (1919):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Lovecraft publishes the story &#8220;Dagon&#8221;.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>(My thanks for Martin A. for correcting my &#8216;slip of the memory&#8217; on &#8220;Dagon&#8221;.
