The academic symposium has an interesting opening paper about&#8230; &#8220;John Carter, the zealous defender of the Gothic architectural style in late eighteenth and early nineteenth-century British culture&#8221; and publisher of the 18th century <em>The Gentleman\u2019s Magazine<\/em>.
