{"id":10432,"date":"2014-05-12T23:47:36","date_gmt":"2014-05-12T20:47:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tentaclii.wordpress.com\/?p=10432"},"modified":"2014-05-12T23:47:36","modified_gmt":"2014-05-12T20:47:36","slug":"clockwork-empires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jurn.link\/tentaclii\/index.php\/2014\/05\/12\/clockwork-empires\/","title":{"rendered":"Clockwork Empires"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jurn.link\/tentaclii\/index.php\/2012\/08\/28\/clockwork-empires-pc-game\/\">in summer 2012 <\/a> I noted a planned PC game called <em>Clockwork Empires<\/em>.  <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Lovecraft-laden steampunk city-builder&#8221; [in which the player is a <em>Civilisation<\/em>-style] colony-builder amid the grand idealism of Victorian discovery [but] with horrors, madness, wild species, and volatile science.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Now there&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/2154060\/preview-clockwork-empiress-city-building-mixes-lovecraftian-horror-with-long-long-memories.html\">a demo<\/a> ahead of the (maybe) summer 2014 release&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Clockwork Empires uses Victorian-era horror and science fiction as a jumping off point.
