[He is] now one of the most popular philosophers in Italy [&#8230;] co-founder of the Cogito Academy, an organization dedicated to practical philosophy and cultural dissemination.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>* Tom Shippey&#8217;s Uppsala Books imprint has announced another book for later in 2026. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/uppsalabooks.com\/hoarded-gold\">Hoarded Gold: A Book of Old English Wisdom<\/a><\/em>. New translations of the &#8216;wisdom poems&#8217;, offering&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;everything from wry sayings about money and mead-drinking to guidance on psychological and emotional growth, as well as profound meditations on how human beings can acquire and use wisdom.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>* The <em>Birmingham Mail<\/em> local daily newspaper covers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/whats-on\/family-kids-news\/festival-celebrate-legend-everyone-knows-33954752\">The Tolkien Society&#8217;s Sarehole Mill festival<\/a> in the south of the city on 31st May 2026, including details of ticket prices and travel.<\/p>\n<p>* A signed copy of <em>The Hobbit<\/em> has just <a href=\"https:\/\/historical.ha.com\/itm\/books\/science-fiction-and-fantasy\/j-r-r-tolkien-the-hobbit-or-there-and-back-again\/a\/6336-45217.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515\">dinged an auctioneer&#8217;s cash-register for $450,000<\/a>.
