If you want more on Tolkien, bees and honey-cakes, then the <em>Tea with Tolkien<\/em> podcast had a guest episode <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teawithtolkien.com\/podcast\/23\">&#8220;On Beorn &amp; Beekeeping&#8221;<\/a> (2019) with beekeeper Daniel Stewart.<\/p>\n<p>* The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetablet.co.uk\/news\/16909\/archdiocese-plans-lord-of-the-rings-trail-map\">Archdiocese of Madrid has launched a crowd-funder<\/a>&#8230; &#8220;to create the world\u2019s largest geo-location map along a walking trail based on <em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em>&#8220;. This being their&#8230; &#8220;79 mile <a href=\"https:\/\/elcaminodelanillo.com\/\">&#8216;El Camino del Anillo&#8217;<\/a> in the Sierra Norte hills&#8221;, about 20 miles north of the Spanish capital city of Madrid.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/spyders\/oldimages\/mapacaminomap.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/spyders\/oldimages\/mapacaminomap.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"485\" height=\"642\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12578\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2020, this is an apparently &#8220;Tolkien-esque&#8221; and openly Catholic eight-day hill-walking trail. The idea seems to be to take a depopulating landscape and &mdash; over time, building on what&#8217;s already there &mdash; to make it a circular journey through varied landscapes evoking those of <em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>* <em><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/c13b8011-9f08-491b-a334-650db131a4e3\/mode\/2up\">The Poetic Edda: A Dual-Language Edition<\/a><\/em> (2023). In this new free Creative Commons PDF book of nearly 900 pages&#8230; &#8220;there are thirty-six texts, giving us one of the fullest translations of the work&#8221; into English.
