Max Kemman now asks: will Google <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxkemman.nl\/2013\/09\/what-if-google-killed-scholar\/\">close down Google Scholar<\/a>?  The article notes that&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201ccited by\u201d and \u201crelated articles\u201d functionalities in Google Scholar [&#8230;] are already available in [the main Google] Search<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If he&#8217;s correct, there may be another reason for it.  Have people in Google taken a good look at the slow-but-sure progress of <a href=\"http:\/\/academic.research.microsoft.com\/?SearchDomain=3&amp;entitytype=2\">Microsoft Academic Search<\/a>, and found they don&#8217;t like what they see?
