Just to <em>read<\/em>, mind you &mdash; not to download or copy-and-paste.  Until now R&amp;R access has been to a mere 77 journals.<\/p>\n<p>But a new Jan 2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/about.jstor.org\/news\/free-read\">press release<\/a> proclaims a much meatier &#8220;<strong>1,200 journals<\/strong>&#8221; for the R&amp;R offer&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;more than 1,200 journals [<a href=\"http:\/\/about.jstor.org\/rr\">titles .xls<\/a>] are now available for limited reading by the public. This is part of a major expansion of JSTOR\u2019s experimental program Register &amp; Read&#8230;&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>R&amp;R access can be had by registering for a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jstor.org\/action\/showPreferences?myJstor=true\">MyJSTOR account<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to quote from an R&amp;R article, don&#8217;t struggle with retyping the quote into your essay.  The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/product\/B000HCZ8EO?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=httwwwdloginf-21&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1634&amp;creative=6738&amp;creativeASIN=B000HCZ8EO\">Microsoft Office 2007<\/a> OneNote &#8216;screen clipping&#8217; OCR function is your friend, in such cases.
