{"id":6503,"date":"2011-03-10T08:52:43","date_gmt":"2011-03-10T08:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jurnsearch.wordpress.com\/?p=6503"},"modified":"2011-03-10T08:52:43","modified_gmt":"2011-03-10T08:52:43","slug":"persee-threatened-by-sudden-funding-cut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jurn.link\/jurnsearch\/index.php\/2011\/03\/10\/persee-threatened-by-sudden-funding-cut\/","title":{"rendered":"Persee threatened by sudden funding cut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.persee.fr\">Persee journals open archiving service<\/a>, for French humanities \/ social studies \/ geography journals, has reportedly been abruptly told that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fabula.org\/actualites\/le-programme-persee-menace_43415.php\">its funding is to be withdrawn by its hosting university Lyon 2<\/a>, within months and without any consultation&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Sans concertation pr\u00e9alable (personnels et direction de PERS\u00c9E non sollicit\u00e9s, comit\u00e9 de suivi de PERS\u00c9E, minist\u00e8re de tutelle, organes institutionnels de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 (CTP, CS, CA) non avertis), la direction de Lyon 2 a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 le 7 f\u00e9vrier 2011 de mettre fin \u00e0 la convention-cadre soutenant l&#8217;existence du programme. Cette d\u00e9cision prend effet le 10 mai 2011.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;ensemble des personnels du programme PERS\u00c9E ne comprend pas la pr\u00e9cipitation de la direction de Lyon 2. Aucune information n&#8217;a pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 cette d\u00e9cision. Aucune discussion n&#8217;est propos\u00e9e par la direction de l&#8217;universit\u00e9.
