Possibly this is to accommodate the new engine in Firefox 57, but that&#8217;s just my guess.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, it&#8217;s broken and this is true of both <a href=\"https:\/\/userstyles.org\/styles\/102738\/duckduckgo-multi-columns-v-9\">DuckDuckGo &#8211; Multi-Columns v.9 | Userstyles.org<\/a> and its fork <a href=\"https:\/\/freestyler.ws\/style\/128672\/duckduckgo-multi-columns-custom\">DuckDuckGo &#8211; Multi-Columns Custom &#8211; FreeStyler.WS<\/a>, therefore the fault must lie with a change in the code at the DuckDuckGo results page.  Both Firefox and Pale Moon show the same behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>Turning on autoscroll in DuckDuckGo&#8217;s internal settings doesn&#8217;t seem to fix it. Presumably the script will be fixed in the next week or so. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> DuckDuckGo Multi-columns is now fixed: <a href=\"https:\/\/userstyles.org\/styles\/102738\/duckduckgo-multi-columns-v-10\">DuckDuckGo &#8211; Multi-Columns v.10 at Userstyles.org<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>If you need to tweak the colours, either backup your existing tweaked script before updating and then port back snippets of code, or use my <a href=\"https:\/\/jurn.link\/jurnsearch\/2017\/03\/23\/duckduckgo-multicolumns-fix-march-2017\/\">colour-tweaking guide to the code<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Note that, to access script editing, you no longer go to User Scripts, but rather to: the Firefox Extensions panel at Tools \/ Addons | Stylish | Click on the Stylish \u201cOptions\u201d button | DuckDuckGo \u2013 Multi-Columns v.10 | Edit | Save.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A change at the DuckDuckGo search engine has broken multi-column add-on support.
