Changes since DAZ Studio 4.20.1.17&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>* support for the new iRay &#8220;curves\/fibers for strand-based hair\/fur&#8221; (and later fixes)<\/p>\n<p>* iRay at &#8220;2021.1.2&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So it looks like if you want the latest &#8220;furry&#8221; iRay, you want DAZ 4.20.1.34. <\/p>\n<p>Though if you go later than that and on into the public betas, at 4.20.1.58 you get&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>* iRay at &#8220;2021.1.6&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>* and a thorough overhaul of FBX export.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the iRay dev blog&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>1.6 &#8211; was a &#8220;minor critical&#8221; bugfix.<br \/>\n1.5 &#8211; no mention.<br \/>\n1.4 &#8211; no mention.<br \/>\n1.3 &#8211; was &#8220;a minor bugfix&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The iRay devs are working toward a major iRay &#8220;2022.0.0&#8221; beta, which seems due soonish.<\/p>\n<p>So unless you want to experiment with iRay hair, or think &#8220;minor critical&#8221; is worth the change, there doesn&#8217;t seem a great deal of need to upgrade DAZ just yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A quick look at DAZ to see if anything important changed.
